The responsibility for the situation in Afghanistan is primarily carried by the United States and the countries of the International Coalition. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov said this at a briefing, the correspondent “Renta.ru” reports.
Diplomat called on the West and the United States to take over the main share of the country’s restoration costs. “The responsibility for the situation in Afghanistan is primarily carried by the United States and the countries of the international coalition, so they should take on the main share of the country’s post-war recovery costs,” Zakharov emphasized.
Earlier, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry found it impossible for the West an independent solution to the problem in Afghanistan without the help of Russia. “They understand that without our country this largest catastrophe is not a problem, it is a catastrophe in all directions, they will not do anything with it,” Zakharov emphasized.
