In CSTO, they declared a complex setting on border of Tajikistan with Afghanistan

On Wednesday, September 15, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministerial Defense and Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) was held in Dushanbe, which was discussed by security issues in connection with the situation in Afghanistan. The results of the meeting voiced the Secretary-General of the organization Stanislav, the press service of the CSTO reports.

According to him, the most complex military-political situation was stated on the border of Tajikistan with Afghanistan. “Today, the situation there is unfavorable, but Tajik border guards and law enforcement agencies fully control the referees of the country,” said it.

In case of exacerbation of the situation, the Secretary-General added, the CSTO members agreed to provide Tajikistan all the necessary military-technical support. The appropriate proposals will be considered in detail at the meeting of the Collective Security Council (SKB) of the CSTO September 16.

and also said that during the negotiations, a large block of documents was signed in the field of training for the Armed Forces of the CSTO member states.

On September 7, the President of Tajikistan called on to strengthen the defense capability of the Republic of the Republic due to the current situation in Afghanistan, where, after the capture of the authorities, a civil war was actually started with the participation of radical resistance forces.
