Lawyers and various organizations that provide legal protection for those who arrived from the territory of Belarus with illegal migrants from the countries of the Middle East can help the aggravation of the migration crisis generated by the President of Belarus by Alexander Lukashenko. This was stated by the head of the Defense Committee of the Seimas Lithuania Laurinas Kashchenas, calling such people “Poslasts of Minsk”, Delfi.lt reports.
According to him, the provisions taken in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) for the ban to send illegal immigrants from the country “unpleasantly surprised” him. The deputy explained that because of this, those lawyers and lawyers who will represent the interests of refugees will not only be able to prove on the issue vulnerable to Lithuania, but will actually become a “accomplices of Minsk” in the delivery of illegal immigrants in Lithuania.
Deputy from the opposition party of the Parliament Vitautas Bakas objected Kashkohnas, recalling the high standards of the European Union (EU) in compliance with human rights. On September 9, the ECHR temporarily forbade the Lithuanian authorities to send five refugees from Afghanistan who arrived in the country from the territory of Belarus. The ECHR reports that Afghans arrived in Belarus in August and tried to get into Lithuania several times to get political asylum.
