The British parliamentarians accused Prime Minister Boris Johnson in a negligence attitude to national security issues and warned that the government is not able to cope with more than one crisis at a time. This is reported by TASS with reference to the report of the Joint National Security Strategy Committee, which includes representatives of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
The document says that the national security council of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic began to be collected at the meetings irregularly, and the “situational meetings and improvisation” came to the change are a “serious mistake”. As an example, the report provides a situation in Afghanistan, from where British subjects and people who help them have been evacuated for 20 years of a military campaign. The authors of the document concluded that this government is “unable to prepare and solve two crisis with national security at the same time.”
Parliamentarians indicated that now Johnson will spend on rough counting, 65 percent less time at meetings of the Council of National Security and its structures, which is a “step back, which involves a more negligent approach to national security.”
