Sunday on the Baikonur cosmodrome is the first day of training sessions for astronauts and space flight participants. On September 19, the first training of the main and duplicating crews of the transport piloted ship “Union MS-19” to the upcoming flight under the program of the 66th long experiment to the international space station.
In accordance with the preparation schedule in the morning, both crew arrived at the installation and test case of the site No. 254 to pass the first workout in the ship. Under the control of specialists of subsidiaries of Roskosmos State Corporation, they tried out the “Falcon KV-2” flights, tested them for hermeticity and occupied places in the ship “Union MS-19”. After that, familiarized with the places of cargo in the household compartment and the descent apparatus, carried out work with the equipment with which to work on board the international space station.
Further classes of participants in the Baikonur include training on the manual mooring of the piloted ship “Union MS” to the Russian segment of the ISS, control of styling with scientific equipment for conducting space experiments, the development of ballistic operations and other preparatory procedures. Tomorrow the crews will continue to prepare in the test training center.
