The event was devoted to the new state festival Day of National Unity, which is celebrated on September 17. The corresponding decree was signed in June of this year.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that Belarus is ready to negotiate with the countries of the European Union (EU) for all available issues. According to him, it is necessary to solve questions by negotiation, and not from the position of force or by providing sanitation pressure on Belarus.
