In Indonesia, they arrested a possible leader associated with Al-Qaida Grouping

The elite counter-terrorist detachment of Indonesia DENSUS 88 arrested a possible leader of the terrorist group “Jemaa Islamia” (“Islamic Society”) Abu Ruddama. It is reported by the Edition Independent.

Three members of the organization were captured with him. They were arrested in the city of Bekasi, not far from the Indonesian capital Jakarta. According to Independent, the grouping “Jemaa Islamia” is associated with the terrorist movement of Al-Qaida (prohibited in Russia).

The Indonesian police continues to search for other militants of the organization scored in the country. For the last week, special forces detained 53 alleged Chelny “Jemaa Islamia” in 11 regions of Indonesia. At the same time, the terrorists themselves switched from attacks on tourists and civilians to impacts forces of national security.

“Jemaa Islamia” is a radical Muslim organization committing terrorist attacks in South Asian countries. It was founded in the 1970s as a result of the persecution of Islam by the Indonesian authorities. The ultimate goal of the organization is to proclaim the “Islamic state of Nusantar” in the territory of all Southeast Asia.
