British analysts noticed the Russian oceanographic research vessel “Amber”. Exploration Specialist Based on open sources H. I. Sutton drew attention to the ship from territorial waters of Ireland. The “spy” ship can be used to trim underwater cables and intelligence missions, reports UK Defence Journal.
The authors of the portal note that previously representatives of the US naval forces (Navy) announced the possibility of the Yantar ship to violate underwater communications. Underwater vehicles placed on the ship are able to “break cables” at a depth of up to 6000 meters, writes UK Defence Journal.
In turn, representatives of the Naval Service (IRS) of Ireland confirmed that they are known about the Russian ship. The passage of the Yantar vessel complies with the norms of the UN Convention on the Law of the Law, summarized in the department.
Yantar’s research vessel Project 22010 “Crys” in 2015 was transferred to the Russian Fleet of Russia. “Amber” is designed to study the thickness of the World Ocean and its bottom. Also, the ship can be used for search missions. The ship may carry autonomous deep-water project devices 16810 “RUSS” and 16811 “Consul”. These devices allow you to monitor the objects on the seabed, perform deep-water work using the manipulator, and lift to the surface up to 200 kilograms of cargo.
Previously, the authors of the Norwegian edition of Resett told about the use of Russian strategic drones “Poseidon”. The device will be able to develop high speed at great depth. The publication believes that Poseidon can change the idea of strategic weapons.
