Russian pensioners can solve the problem of lack of foreign labor. This opinion was expressed by the Commissioner for Entrepreneurs under the President of Russia Boris Titov during communication with business representatives in Nizhny Novgorod, RIA Novosti reports. The local restaurant complained to Titov on the lack of unskilled personnel in the catering.
Pensioners want to work and are ready to replace migrants, but do not make it, because they fear to lose indexation of pensions. “They will lose benefits, their pensions will not be indexed. It takes people to go out,” said Titov. The indexation will derive from the shadow of many pensioners, considers the Ombudsman. He reproached the Ministry of Finance in that he does not allocate money for her.
Previously, the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Husnullin performed with a similar initiative. He offered to attract non-working pensioners into the construction industry, where there is an acute shortage of foreign labor. According to him, in the regions there is a struggle for labor resources.
In the middle of September, the Vice-Mayor of Moscow, Vladimir Efimov, said that there are not enough about 200 thousand labor migrants in the city. He said that employers, primarily developers, have to overpend to each other, which increases the cost of services of migrants.
Previously, Alexey Zhuravlev urged to organize labor camps for migrants and send them to work beyond settlements, “on large-scale objects in the regions of the type of north or Siberia, where there are not enough work hands.” He also suggested punishing foreigners “significantly tougher” criminals than Russians, due to the high level of criminalization among foreigners.
