In the near future, the Government of Iran will resume negotiations on a nuclear transaction in Vienna. This was announced at a press conference by the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Said Khatibzade, TASS reports.
“We will try as possible for a minute not to delay this process,” he added. According to Khatibzade, Tehran expects participants in the negotiations of a realistic approach. Also, the Iranian side refuses to take over the obligations that go beyond the contract of the joint comprehensive action plan (CSPD).
Earlier in the State Department stated that the Iranian government did not decide on a nuclear transaction and does not plan to return to negotiations. Washington called on Tehran as soon as possible to start a dialogue on nuclear weapons, as the possibilities for this are hard.
Iran’s CFD contract was concluded in the summer of 2015 between Tehran and six mediators (Russia, USA, United Kingdom, Germany, China and France). Later, Iran was accused of gross violations of the agreement. In early May 2018, the United States announced a unilateral exit from the transaction and the introduction of anti-Iranian sanctions. Iran abandoned the agreements on UNDPD in January 2020.
