US responded to tests of North Korea of new rocket

The US authorities are aware of the reports of new rocket launches of the DPRK, they will continue to monitor the development of the situation together with their allies and partners. This reacted to the information on the tests of the new rocket of a large range of the Indo-Pacific Command of the American Armed Forces, reports TASS.

According to the Pentagon, such actions of Pyongyang testify to its concentration on the development of their military program and indicate the threats that it is “presents for neighbors of the DPRK and the international community.” The Indo-Pacific Command has also stressed that Washington is still firmly committed to the protection of South Korea and Japan.

Earlier, the South Korean newspaper Yonhap, with reference to the Central Telegraph Agency, Korea reported that North Korea conducted successful tests of the new large-range winged rocket. The tests were held on Saturday, September 11, and on Sunday, September 12th. It is specified that the Military Guide to the DPRK tested various parts of the engines, testing control systems and guidance, as well as warheads and others.

Last time Pyongyang conducted similar tests in March. Then two new tactical missiles were launched in the Japanese Sea. They flew about 600 kilometers. According to North Korean media, these rockets are able to transfer a warhead weighing up to 2.5 tons.
