Capitol Police recommended disciplinary penalties against six officers for their actions during the riots at the US Congress building on January 6. This is reported by ABC News.
It is noted that the department held 38 internal investigations, during which 26 employees were established. According to inspectors, serious disorders were made in six cases. We are talking about three cases of inappropriate behavior, and one – non-fulfillment of instructions, illegal comments and dissemination of information not intended for the general public.
These employees were temporarily removed from working with wages.
After the elections of the US President in November 2020, the supporters of Donald Trump stormed the Capitol with the victory of Joe Bayden. This happened after the rally on January 6th. During the riots, a participant in demonstrations and a police officer were killed, three more died from the causes that are not related to violence. The police could remove the storming participants from the Congress building, after which the Victory of Byyden was announced.
