Scientists invented mini robots to destroy plastic trash

Czech scientists from a chemical and technological University in Prague invented mini-robots to extract microplastics from the world’s ocean. This is reported by the portal SciencenewsForStudents.

Magnetic robots are not more than the tip of the sharpened pencil. When the light falls on the device, chemical reactions are launched, thanks to which the tiny bot is moving in water in a specific direction. When the particle is founding the microplasty, the device begins to destroy it. He can also attached to the Musor, so that it was easier to detect it in it.

The project was headed by Chemist Martin Pumera. He noted that the ultimate goal of scientists is to create cheap and environmentally friendly robots that can be used anywhere in the world. According to him, first of all such a technology can be useful at wastewater treatment plants, since mini-robots can remove plastic before it falls into the open sea.

Previously, the British student Fionn Ferreira proposed to purify the nature of the micro-liquid from the micro-liquid. He developed a substance with which the water can be filtered, clearing it from harmful impurities.
