More than 240 newest and modernized tanks will receive the Russian army in 2021. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the department, the troops will come in troops T-72B3M, T-80BVM and T-90 “Breakthrough”. The Ministry of Defense also noted that the updating of the tank fleet occurs annually. It is noted that the divisions of the land forces receive modern samples of techniques, which have proven themselves when used in various climatic zones.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian military base in Tajikistan until the end of 2021 will receive about 100 units of armored weapons due to the exacerbation of the situation in Afghanistan. According to the press service of the Central Military District (CI), the base, in particular, will be equipped with 30 modern tanks T-72B3. In this modification, a meteureter and a modern ballistic calculator was installed, an armament stabilizer was improved and a target support machine (ACS) was introduced, as a result of which the accuracy of fire was significantly increased compared to the basic model.
