The Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in Bashkiria Milan Skorobogatova appealed to the prosecutor’s office of the region with a complaint to the Ufa brand Damdam because of the vulgar phrase on clothing. This is reported by Kommersant.
We are talking about a black T-shirt with the phrase of Cutac Bash, which in Bashkir language means a part of the male genital organ. It is known that on one of the advertising shots in the mentioned thing poses a teenager. According to Skorobogataya, which is interested in this fact, the brand “uses children in advertising a matershone word of sexual character”, which is illegal.
Representatives of the Russian brand said that the phrase carries a different meaning and has a Serbian origin. So, the Damdam Development Director owned Okunev explained that Cutac translated from the Serbian language means “corner”, and Bash is a slang expression in English, meaning parties. According to him, the expression is translated as a pretty corner or a party of like-minded people, united by one idea.
Lawyers believe that the inscriptions on T-shirts cannot fall under the law on advertising, and the explanations of the Roskomnadzor on obscene Brani concern only Russian branch words. At the moment, law enforcement agencies are verified.
In March, Ksenia Ksenia Sobchak stood up for selling clothes with obscene words. We are talking about the volume of Hoody from the new collection of its own Mercha “Caution! Sobchak”. At the same time, a print was applied to black and gray sweatshirts from the back in the form of the words located under each other: “***, ****, Vinaigrette, salad, soup.”
