He recalled that Russia previously purchased more than 120 thousand tons of salmon from Norway every year. In 2014, supplies refused, since Moscow introduced food embargo. As a result, the country has increased its production of this fish, which in the last 10 years has doubled.
It is expected that this year up to 329 thousand tons of salmon will be produced. Only for the first half of the year, the production of red fish increased by 20 percent.
