The first hybrid drone in Russia experienced a flight of 12 hours. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a hybrid power plant ZALA 421-12E5G flew along the route length of over a thousand kilometers. This is reported by the press service of the developer of the developer Zala Aero (enters the group of companies “Kalashnikov”).
Dryman made a flight from Izhevsk to Yoshkar-Ola and back. The distance at 1130 kilometers of the CAPP overcame in 12 hours. During tests, designers worked the methodology for using two flight units with a new communication and control system. The system is based on the overseas management points, which are located in different regions of the country.
“Implementation of such a system where the complex operators are located at a distance of up to 500 km from the start place, reduces the spending of the device resources, minimizes the human factor and optimizes the staff of the operating units,” the press service reported.
During the flight, the developers tested new developments used in Zala UAV. A sample for testing received an on-board system of visual navigation, which does not depend on the satellite signal. The tests have shown that the system is “an order of magnitude more accurate” than the inertial navigation systems, the developer representatives added.
also tests made it possible to check the AIVI intellectual processing system. The complex allows in passive mode to detect and recognize objects visible in the bottom hemisphere. Aivi allows real-time to receive information about the location and number of objects.
Earlier it became known that the Russian impact drone “Orion” struck the target of the type “tank” with high accuracy. The CAPP provided a direct hit of a 100-kilogram bomb from a height of four kilometers.
