NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Afghanistan moved to the Taliban’s hands as a result of the fall of local authorities, the New York Times newspaper writes.
Secretands of the North Atlantic Alliance accused the authorities of the republic in its crash. Stoltenberg called the guilty leadership of the country in the arrival of militants of the terrorist movement “Taliban” (prohibited in Russia).
“We witnessed the collapse of political and military leadership, which then led to the collapse of the entire defense against the Taliban,” he stressed.
Responding to the question of the impact of US and NATO’s care for the fall of Afghanistan, Stoltenberg stated that this decision would explore researchers in the future. “For me, the main task is to preserve the achievements in the field of combating terrorism and take people from Afghanistan,” he added.
