Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II and the Royal Family are supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement (BLM, “the life of black are important”). This became known from the words of one of the representatives of the monarch, the first dark-skinned Lord Lieutenant London Ken Obis, writes The Guardian.
Olis said that he discussed with members of the royal family racial issues, especially after the incident with the murder of the African American George Floyd. “This is a hot topic for conversations. The question is that we can do to make the society eliminate these barriers,” he indicated.
According to the representative of the Queen, it seeks to associate a single British nation with common values and eradicate racial prejudices. He noted that Elizabeth II unequivocally supports BLM and shares the values of movement.
June 2 reported that Elizabeth II were caught in evasion of compliance with laws on racial discrimination for more than four decades. According to The Guardian, representatives of ethnic and racial minorities were actually deprived of the right to complain to the Royal House in case of refusal to accept a job on a racial basis.
The Black Lives Matter movement appeared in 2013, and in 2020 it became world famous against the background of high-profile protests in the United States after killing the African American police officers George Floyd. Blm participants require systematic changes and believe that the murder of Floyd is associated with racist prejudices in society.
