Taliban prevented terrorist attack at Kabul airport

The militants of the Taliban radical movement (a terrorist organization forbidden in Russia) prevented the terrorist attack at the Kabul airport a few hours before the end of the evacuation of US troops. This is reported by NBC.

According to the publication, the Taliban stopped the bus sent to the airport of the Afghan capital. The US citizen told the representatives of the movement that there were two suicide terrorists and explosives in it. The militants demanded all passengers to leave the bus. After a thorough check, they were allowed to return to the places and continue the path.

Assistant One of the US Congressmen noted that the Taliban played an important role in ensuring airport security. “If they were not stopped by a bus, an attack could occur at the airport, which may have led to victims, including among Americans,” he concluded.

On August 26, a series of terrorist attacks occurred in Kabul. As a result of two explosions near Hamida Karzai airport, at least 200 people died and about a thousand were injured. Among the dead were peaceful Afghans, 13 American servicemen, several citizens of Britain and the militants of the Taliban movement. Responsibility for the attack took on the “Islamic State” (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia).
