The head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov said that the IT scope at the moment is the most dynamically developing industry in the economy. In the coming years, this area will require more than two million employees, reports RIA Novosti
“In the next eight or nine years, the IT industry will require more than 2 million people in its ranks,” the Minister stressed at the session of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) “challenges and prospects for the Russian labor market.”
Kotyakov added that it is necessary to realize the growth of the need for IT specialists in various industries. Therefore, it is equally important to correctly evaluate the level of competences and digital knowledge among applicants who come to the labor market.
Earlier, the Minister of Labor revealed the number of Russians working on the remote. According to Kotyakova, about 2.8-3 million people in the country continue to work in this mode.
