The Ministry of Finance is working on the mechanism that will simplify the interaction of banks and law enforcement agencies in fraud in order to quickly return money to victims of intruders. The deputy head of the departments Alexey Moiseyev told about this, his words lead RIA Novosti.
“We propose to legally enable the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to respond to information on fraud and quickly obtaining a court decision on blocking further actions,” explained the Deputy Minister.
Moiseyev added that a deceived citizen first goes to the police to write a statement, after which they initiate a criminal case, and thus the investigation takes several months for which the tools go to offshore or cash.
Deputy Minister noted that the purpose of the mechanism is to simplify the interaction between the Central Bank, financial organizations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to promptly respond to information on the actions of attackers and “slow down” money until they have time to withdraw.
Previously, Moiseev on the eve of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) spoke about the scheme of fraudsters who are on the ads on the ad sites. Usually there is a chain in such cases that they are trying to buy goods, he noted, because old tricks with supposed calls from banks no longer work.
