At the end of the 2021th or in early 2022, the first flight will be made by the Yak-18T aircraft on which the modified engine from the Aurus series will be installed. This was told by the CEO of the Central Institute of Aviation Engineering (CIAM) named after Baranova Mikhail Gordin, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, the engine itself is ready. In the fall, jogging of the aircraft will begin, and then underfers. The engine received the name ADD-500. It can be given in pieces or, after refinement, bring to the serial version. However, in the latter case, additional experimental work is needed, which will occupy up to 2.5 years.
At the same time, work is underway on another version of the engine, which will begin to put on the slight aircraft of the acrobatic category on the “circuscript” project. According to Gordin, his demonstrator will create for winter, after which it will be experienced on terrestrial stands and at a flying laboratory based on Yak-52. Flights are expected to start in 2022.
At the end of May, the head of the Ministry of Industry, Denis Manturov, said that in the Central Research Automobile Institute (US), a prototype of Aurus car operating on hydrogen fuel was created.
Initially, the Aurus line was developed for the use of the first persons of the state. Later it was decided to serial release. Currently, the line includes sedan, limousine and convertible.
