Lavrov declared a subsension interpretation of his words about Stalin

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov accused the opposition media in the wrong interpretation of his words about the USSR Secretary-General Joseph Stalin. His words report RIA Novosti.

Diplomat called hersal charges in justifying the crimes of Stalinism. He stated that the authors of these statements “never achieved the result.” At the same time, the minister once again explained the meaning of his statements about the Soviet leader.

Lavrov noted that those who demand to perceive Stalin as an absolute evil and the culprit of World War II equalize the role of the USSR and Germany in this conflict. He recalled that the German side was striving to conquer Europe, and the Soviet troops saved many nations from the destruction. “And I said here in this sense that this line is used by those who want our country to restrain and who wants to loosen us, to see we are always weak,” the Foreign Ministry clarified.

Previously, Lavrov said that the attacks on the personality of Stalin are part of the attack on the results of the Second World War. He noted that now Russia is attacked from outside to politically weaken her, rewrite her story. The diplomat stressed that it is impossible to touch and reincarnate the history of the country and the world.
