The Great Britain’s authorities expressed their readiness to apply on the Islamic State (IG, prohibited in Russia a terrorist organization) in Afghanistan. This was stated by the chief of staff of the United Kingdom Air Force, Michael Wigston in an interview with the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Britain wanted to play a global role in the international coalition fighting terrorism. According to the military official, the state should be able to take a leading place to defeat the IG. “We must be ready to strike, move the troops or the necessary weapons to certain countries,” said Wigstone.
Head of the Air Force Headquarters made these statements after the International Anti-Terrorism Coalition condemned the terrorist attack in Kabul and promised to continue the fight against IG. According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UK Dominic Raaba, the state is ready to use “all necessary funds” to combat terrorism.
In July, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom James Hippie said that the United Kingdom left the right to strike at Afghanistan after the withdrawal of troops to continue to fight terrorism. The politician noted that London will be able to withstand terrorist threats in Afghan territory in the framework of a special model of missions from the outside.
