According to representatives of the department, the evacuation from Afghanistan may be continued in the form of a military operation, but civil specials. Now these details are discussed with the Taliban, the neighboring countries of Afghanistan and international partners of Germany.
Another option discussed by the German government is the export of people by land.
Earlier, the German chancellor of Angela Merkel said that the capture of Afghanistan militants of the Taliban movement became unexpected. According to the head of the German government, Berlin did not have time to develop appropriate measures to prepare for the accelerated evacuation of its citizens and the conclusion of troops from Kabul. As a result, the decision on the urgent export of the Germans and Afghans, who collaborated with the German army, was taken without approval by the Parliament, bypassing the official procedure.
