US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken appreciated the possibility of Washington’s cooperation with the Taliban (a terrorist organization, prohibited in Russia).
According to him, the United States will be able to deal with the authorities of Afghanistan, which will comply with human rights and will not allow the country’s transformation “in the bridgeheads of the terrorists.”
On August 24, the UN reported that the radical group will recruit children, execute civilians and limits the rights of women. It is argued that the Taliban is conducting extrajudicial reprisals over former members of the National Safety Forces of Afghanistan, deprives women of the right to free movement and prohibits girls to attend schools.
On August 15, the militants of the Taliban movement entered Kabul and declared the full control over the territory of Afghanistan. They also announced that soon the creation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was proclaimed.
