Over the past 30 years, the number of people over 30 years suffering from arterial hypertension has doubled and reached 1.28 billion people. This follows from the results of the study conducted by the Imperial College of London and the World Health Organization (WHO). The report was published in The Lancet magazine.

The study was based on hypertensive data aged from 30 to 79 years from 184 countries. It is specified that at present, the inhabitants of countries with low and medium incomes suffer from this ailment. At the same time, in rich states, the share of hypertensive decreased – so, in 2019, this share was in Canada, Peru and Switzerland. At the same time, more than half of all of all ill in the world (700 million) are not suspected of their hypertension.

WHO was warned that this ailment significantly increases the risk of heart disease, brain and kidney and is one of the main causes of death and diseases in the world. It is possible to determine the hypertension by measuring blood pressure. The disease effectively treats drugs.
