Japan’s District Court in Fukuoka sentenced to the death penalty of the Japanese gang of Kudokai 74-year-old Saturo Nomur. Reports about it Reuters.
The decision was made in the case of attacks of members of Kudokai on the citizens of Japan, committed from 1998 to 2014. During this period, the bandits killed the former head of the fishing cooperative and wounded three more people, including a nurse and a policeman. At the same time, the charges were not able to provide direct evidence that Nomura gave orders for attacks.
However, the judge came to the conclusion that in the gang “Kudokai” too tough hierarchy, and its members could not commit such crimes without the consent of the leader. Lawyer Nomura said that his client is going to appeal the court decision.
At the end of 2019, 28 thousand Yakuza and candidates in the gang were numbered in Japan. According to the Japanese police, this is a record low since 1958. The authorities associate a reduction in the number of bandits with measures to control the financial flows of companies, as well as with the consolidation of efforts of power departments to combat crime.
