As a result of a hacker attack on a system of observation chambers of the Iranian Prison, Evin to the network flowed frames of bullying over prisoners from the security. This is reported by TV channel France 24.
Hackers from the “Justice Ali” group (in the title there is a reference to the son-in-law of the Prophet Mohammed, Imam, revered by Muslim-Shiites – approx. tape.ru) managed to hack the security system and access the prison dispatcher. On the frames laid out on the Internet, it can be seen as surprised guards to remove the monitors on their mobile phones on which the inscription appeared: “Kiberataka. We demand the release of prisoners. Evin prison is a stain on the black turban and a white beard of Raishi” (Ibrahim Raisi, President Iran, Announced the post on August 3, 2021 – approx. tape.ru).
Also in the network they hit the rollers of beating prisoners, drawing along the gender of a man who lost consciousness, and even the fighting of guards among themselves. Most of the rollers dated 2020 and 2021. On video, prison staff walks in masks.
Hackers said that the publication of video recordings is an attempt to show the harsh conditions of detention in prison, in which there are opponents of the existing regime in Iran. “We want the world to hear our voice in support of all political prisoners,” the group says. They argue that the rollers posted on the network are only a small part of hundreds of gigabytes of stolen data.
Iranian authorities confirmed the authenticity of the video, promising to punish the perpetrators in bullying. “I take responsibility for what happened for myself. I also apologize to God, our expensive supreme leader, a great nation and respected prison guards, whose work will not be underestimated because of individual mistakes,” said Iran’s prison service. Mehdi Mohammadi.
Over the past six months, Iran has repeatedly encountered hacker attacks on the objects of its infrastructure. In July, the railway system of the country fell under the blow. In 2010, the centrifuges intended to enrich uranium were dismissed as a result of the hacker attack. The vulnerability of Iranian cyber-systems is due to Western sanctions, due to which Iranians are forced to use pirated software.
