Number of flood victims in US increased twice

As a result, more than 10 thousand residential buildings and enterprises remained without electricity, bridges and roads were also blocked in the region, which were damaged as a result of flooding. It is specified that Dickson, Hikman, Houston and Humfreis, as well as the city of Waverley were injured.

As the Wall Street Journal notes, while other regions of the United States also covered the weather. So, at once several states – Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts – were under the strike of the elements because of Hurricane “Henry”. Despite the fact that, approaching the east coast of the country, Henry weakened to a tropical storm, he brought with him heavy rains, which, as local authorities fear, can lead to floods.

Total in Rhode Island due to a strong wind without electricity there were about 75 thousand houses and enterprises, another 20,000 buildings were de-energized in Connecticut and 6.8 thousand in Massachusetts. The authorities and emergency services of the regions prepared to further deteriorate the situation. In Connecticut, a state of emergency was introduced, the local residents were recommended to remain in shelters.
