State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev urged to limit remote ways to design loans. He sent the corresponding appeal to the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrei Belousov, reports RT.
Sukharev suggested Belousov to fight online loans, since the deputy comes many letters from Russians dedicated to the electronic clearance of credit products in their name by unknown people. Usually citizens learn about the presence of such contracts after the bailiffs write off the money from their bank accounts.
In the process of finding out the circumstances, it becomes known that the attackers found personal data of Russians on different resources, including hacked accounts on the State Service portal. After that, the fraudsters used the information received and sent the application for the acquisition of microloans.
“in order to protect and comply with the rights and interests of citizens, I ask you to consider the possibility of changing the mechanism for issuing a consumer loan (microloan), which will assume the obligation of the personal presence of a citizen at the conclusion of a consumer loan agreement or a microallime agreement,” is emphasized in the appeal of the deputy. / P>
According to Sukhareva, the initiative will help reduce the crime rate in this area.
Earlier it was reported that Russians by 70 percent began to take microloans compared to the same period 2020. So, in July, citizens took 2.3 million loans by the amount of up to 30 thousand rubles in microfinance organizations.
