According to Laysons, in the Pentagon, they are confident in the “significant threat” for aircraft in Kabul. At the same time, the general refused to name any details, explaining that there are good reasons for this.

Now all ground border crossings from Afghanistan are under the control of the Taliban (terrorist movement prohibited in Russia). The evacuation of foreign citizens and Afghans who worked on foreign missions is carried out through the only airport in Kabul, held by the US military and other NATO member countries. The Taliban stated that they would not give the Americans a postponement for the evacuation of citizens after August 31.
