Spacex announced the emergence of a new generation of Starlink satellites. This is reported by the ADVANCED Television edition.
The relevant documents were submitted to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In the description of the new generation StarLink, it is said that satellites will differ higher location density in orbit, which will allow them to cover a large terrain and provide reliable access to the Internet. SPACEX specialists noted that they do not need new frequencies for work and presented for FCC two configurations of StarLink.
According to the first, which Spacex is preferred, is provided for accommodation at an near-earth orbit of 29,988 satellites deployed on nine different heights – from 340 to 614 kilometers. The appendix states that satellites will run with the new StarShip launch vehicle, which is able to deliver more goods into orbit.
According to the second configuration, the company will use 29,996 satellites at 12 different heights and 12 orbit slopes. In this case, StarLink equipment will be delivered to space using Falcon 9.
“Although the original grouping provides unprecedented bandwidth for the satellite system, the demand for a more reliable connection is growing and the need for the connection of users is more important,” the representatives of Spacex are noted. It is reported that at the moment Ilona Mask is waiting for the regulator reaction.
At the end of August, experts described the danger of Starlink satellites. Scientists noted that at the moment there are about 1600 dangerous convergence with other objects in an near-earth orbit, and in the future this number will grow.
