Lavrov appreciated damage from sanctions of European Union for “Young European

EU economic sanctions cause serious damage to young Europe countries. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a conversation with the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet.

“It is important that the sanctions of the EU hurt on the” Young Europeans “, and” Eurogranda “manage to even extract the benefit of the situation for themselves,” the Foreign Minister concluded. He noted that since 2014, trade between Russia and European countries has decreased significantly.

The diplomat also appreciated the damage to the restrictions entered by the authorities of the EU. According to him, sanctions – a non-rational policy instrument, and in relation to Moscow they are unpromising.

Previously, Lavrov called the advantages of the launch of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline for Europe. According to him, the gas pipeline will strengthen Europe’s energy security for decades ahead. The minister also stressed that with the commissioning of the gas pipeline, additional diversification of gas transit routes will be ensured without increasing its volumes
