Malaysia’s authorities detained the Norwegian tanker for illegal parking, on board of which are citizens of Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the head of the Agency to ensure compliance with the maritime legislation of Malaysian Mohamed Hassima.

“The vessel was noticed by the country’s observation system about the removal of 27.8 marine miles (51.4 kilometers) to the south-west of the coast of the city of Seinchana (Selangor), – said Hassim. – On the ship was found 20 members Crew aged 28 to 58 years, including captain. They turned out to be citizens of Norway, Russia, Latvia and the Philippines and have relevant documents. “

As it became known to the Malaysian authorities, the tanker anchored waiting for new orders from the head office in Norway. At the same time, the permits for the parking lot of the vessel did not provide.

The current legislation of Malaysia implies a fine of 100 thousand ringgitis for such violations (23.5 thousand dollars) or a two-year prison sentence.

Earlier, the Spanish police conducted a special operation with law enforcement agencies in the UK and France, during which a ton of cocaine was discovered in the sports yacht in the Atlantic Ocean.
