On August 22, US State Department announced that Kabul Airport would be closed for 48 hours to evacuate those who are already on its territory. After that, the flights will be resumed.
Earlier it was reported that 12 people were killed at the riots at the airport. Prior to this, it became known that 30 people reached the total number of victims at the airport. In an effort to escape from the country, many people went to the airport where the crush began because of a large number of people.
