Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov rated the first days of the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) in power in Afghanistan. This is reported by the Edition Spiegel.
Zhirnov noted that in Moscow carefully observed the actions of the Taliban and do not make hasty conclusions. At the same time, the diplomat stressed that the experience of the first five days is assessed positively, but representatives of the Taliban still have to confirm this.
According to the Russian ambassador, he still came to the awareness that the Taliban would not resort to violence and bloodshed. He added that most of the inhabitants of Afghanistan did not support the Ashraf Gani government.
Earlier, RIA Novosti, with reference to its sources, passed that the head of the political office of the terrorist movement “Taliban” Mulla Abdul Gani Baradar plans to decide on the structure of the future of the Government of Afghanistan in the next two weeks.
Taliba seized Afghanistan on August 15. The government and much of the highest state apparatus fled from the country. Movement representatives assured the international community that they intend to support peaceful and constructive relations with all interested parties.
