The Permanent Committee of the All-China Assembly of People’s Representatives (Parliament) of China allowed citizens to raise up to three children. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Xinhua agency. The decision was carried out within the framework of the adopted on Friday, August 20, amendments to the law on population and fertility planning.
In accordance with the new version of the law, the state intends to promote among the public marriage and the birth of children at a young age. In addition, the state will introduce financial, tax, insurance, educational and housing benefits for young families with children and will reduce the costs of parents for the birth and upbringing of the younger generation – including educational services.
Local authorities and employers will be encouraged to provide additional leave to employees who raise young children. The plans of the Chinese government – to consider providing preferential housing to young families and tax deductions for the cost of maintaining children up to three years.
The decision to resolve Chinese families to have three children of the Politburo of the Central Communist Party of China took back in May of this year. In June, the State Council of the PRC canceled the relevant fines. And in mid-June, information appeared that China’s authorities and decided to change demographic policies at all and fully remove restrictions on the birth rate.
