Tesla company announced the appearance of the Humanoid Robot Tesla Bot Own Development. The prototype of the model equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) will appear in 2022, reports the specialized Teslarati portal.
The robot will be equipped with a set of sensors used in TESLA electric vehicles.
As the head of the company Ilon Mask, during a presentation on the presentation of new products, the height of the robot will be 172 centimeters, and the weight is about 56 kilograms. Instead of his face, he will have a screen for displaying information, and the hands and legs will be controlled by 40 servos.
“If you think about, Tesla can now be called the world’s largest producer of robots, because our cars resemble seerious robots on wheels,” the TASS entrepreneur quotes. Also, Mask added that the technology developed by his company would be logical to “lie in a humanoid form.” According to him, that the robot will be useful in everyday life, for example, will be able to go to the store and bring various items. “It is assumed that he will be friendly,” the company’s head concluded.
Earlier, Mask shared success in creating a brain chip. Prototypes and an improved robot model for their automated implantation were successfully tested on two pigs. The device allowed a scientist to monitor the activity of tactless animal brain centers over a wireless communication channel, tracking what the pig concerns with its patch. In the future, development will allow to fight epilepsy, paralysis and other diseases in which the work of the head or spinal cord is violated.
