In Belarus prepared to defeat businessmen

Belarusian authorities intend to sharply tighten the activities of individual entrepreneurs (IP). In fact, the new rules are similar to an attempt to defeat businessmen who over the past year were tough criticism from officials. About this with reference to the information that comes into business unions writes Office Life.

From Tuesday, August 17, the registration of new IP is completely stopped in the republic. As indicated on the website of the Minsk City Executive Committee, this happened on some “technical reasons”, but the dates of recovery of registrations are not specified.

At the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Finance and the Committee of the State Control stated that IP was involved “in various schemes for tax optimization and removal of cash circulation.” In July, President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the economic unit of the government stressed that there are too many entrepreneurs in the country, and all this is “the colossal offshore”.

As stated in the material, officials are preparing a change in the taxation of the IP, the restriction of the spheres of activity for them, ban on employees in many areas. Income tax will be returned to a level of 18 percent, and a single tax on most activities will cancel. One of the sources of the publication indicated that the country would want to return to the scheme from the 1990s.

Previously, the Lithuanian authorities said that since December, the transit of potash fertilizers from Belarus will be discontinued in connection with US sanctions. In response to this in Minsk, they stated that they could cover damage through Russia. The supply of Belaruscali products remain critically important for the republic, since this is the main source of foreign currency necessary for the payment of the public debt.
