Italian Foreign Ministry called on NATO to unite efforts with Russia in the fight against threats from Afghanistan. This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy Luigi Di Mayo.
According to the minister, the organization needs to cooperate with countries included in the events occurring in the state. “We must work together that Afghanistan again did not have a threat to the security of the international community,” he stressed.
Di Mayo stated that NATO should establish contact with regional players, such as Pakistan, Russia and China to resist international terrorism. He believes that the listed states share concern about the situation within Afghanistan.
Earlier in the US, possible attacks were afraid on the territory of Afghanistan, including from the “Islamic state” (IG, a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia).
