Merkel asked Putin to discuss with Taliban Humanitarian Aid of Afghanistan

Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel asked President Vladimir Putin’s president to discuss with the movement of the Taliban (prohibited in Russia) humanitarian assistance to the population of Afghanistan. According to Merkel, Russia in negotiations with Taliban may discuss support from the UN Mission to promote Afghanistan (UNAMA). She also stated that the victory of militants in the war with the Afghan government is a “upset fact.” According to her, Germany should evacuate from the country of Afghans who helped the German armed forces.

Also Merkel also stated that Germany will provide essential asylum to evacuated Afghans. The German side, according to Chancellor, will have to take out of Afghanistan “as many people as possible”, who collaborated with her during the NATO 20-year-old campaign.
