In the Eastern cosmodrome technical complex, the installation of a vacuum installation is made designed to test for the tightness of the pilot transport ship of the new generation “Orel” and other spacecraft. Works undergo control of specialists of the Space Center “Eastern” and the author’s supervision of the starting complexes. V.P. Barmina (branches of Cennie, enters the state corporation “Roskosmos”).
To ensure the necessary cleanliness of the installation, the special technological chamber is mounted. Currently, the manufacture of the vacuum installation case is already being completed inside it. Due to major dimensions, the delivery of the installation on the cosmodrome was carried out by sections. Now they are already mounted in the position in which the installation will be operated. Also carried out a number of weld checks on tightness.
At the same time, operations are carried out to prepare the inner surface of the cover of the housing of the vacuum installation, it is treated with a special sandblasting unit. After the required level of purity is reached, the lid will be installed in the case. Factory tests of the housing of the vacuum plant for tightness are scheduled for early 2022.
The vacuum setting of a length of 14 meters and a diameter of 9 meters is the unit necessary for checking on the tightness of the compartments of manned transport ships and other spacecraft. Inside the installation is migrating pressure, with a load on all the design elements of a ship, similar to the one that is created in an orbital flight. This allows you to estimate the mechanical interaction of the elements to the start and see how the design behaves in the cosmic vacuum.
