Most Americans agreed with meaninglessness of Afghan war

Most US citizens agreed with the meaninglessness of the war in Afghanistan. This is reported by Associated Press.

According to a survey conducted by the Center for Public Relations Relations Associated Press, 62 percent of Americans doubt that the war in Afghanistan was worth it. This is the highest indicator of their consent with this or that aspect of the country’s international policy. With the fact that the approach of the administration of Byyden to international affairs in general is faithful, only 47 percent of respondents agreed.

Also about two thirds of Americans believe that the war in Iraq was also a mistake. Among the represented Republicans, the indicator of approval of foreign policy interventions of the United States is slightly higher than among the Democrats. On average, out of ten republican respondents, these actions approved four people, while among the Democrats only three.

About half of Americans said they are extremely or very worried about the threat to the United States emanating from extremist groups based outside the United States. A third is concerned about moderately, only a small part is not concerned at all. Much more than the Americans are disturbing internal terrorism. With his threat, two thirds of the respondents agree, and among the respondents, this indicator reaches 75 percent.

The survey was conducted from August 12 to August 16, in days when, after 20 years of stay of the US Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Kabul was taken under the control of the terrorists of the Taliban (the Organization Scribed in Russia). In Washington, Biden was criticized due to the humanitarian crisis arising in Afghanistan after the rapid seizure of the country by the militants.
