On the consular accounting of the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan there is about 100 Russian citizens. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov, RIA Novosti reports.
Diplomat clarified that mostly ethnic Afghans. “They studied at different times in Russia or the Soviet Union, have acquired families, they received citizenship, they returned to their historical homeland,” Zakharov added. She assured that the consular service of the Russian Embassy works with them, as with other appeals of citizens of the Russian Federation.
Most of the appeals, according to Zakharova, contain requests “to assist in exporting to the territory of Russia.” She promised that all appeals would be considered attentive. According to her, Russia organizes charter flights for all its citizens wishing to leave Afghanistan.
