Latvia: a protest was held against forced vaccination

he noted that four thousand protesters were published on the rally instead of 50 people permitted. The head of department added that, according to the total of several people, criminal cases were instituted for attacking the police officer and damage to the police car.

Deputy Head of Mrest Andris Zellis on the air “Latvian Radio” clarified that law enforcement officers also recorded several small violations that were committed by people in alcoholic intoxication. According to him, in general, protest passed calmly. At the same time, Zellis informed that in the near future the police would evaluate violations associated with non-compliance with the organizers of the rally of epidemiological security measures.

In July, the Government of Latvia introduced a mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 for its citizens and allowed employers to dismiss employees who refused to comply with the requirement of the authorities.

Before that, the deputy of the Latvian Seimas Aldis Gobzex compared the mandatory vaccination with the Holocaust. In his opinion, such measures leave people without choosing and oppress their rights and freedoms like the Nazis in relation to the Jews.
