Effectiveness of Pfizer and Astrazeneca vaccines against “Delta” -Stamma

Researchers from the UK found that the “Delta” protection of SARS-COV-2 from the two most common vaccines in the country – Pfizer and Astrazeneca – weakens after three months of action. The articles of scientists can be found on the University of Oxford.

Moreover, scientists found out that the infected COVID-19 after vaccination can represent a greater risk for others than at previous COVID-19 versions. 90 days after the second injection, the effectiveness of Pfizer and Astrazeneca preparations decreased to 75 and 61 percent, respectively. At the same time, the reduction in efficiency was much more often observed among those aged from 35 years than among people of younger age. At the same time, the viral load for the vaccine received was the same as for non-vaccinated.

According to researchers, the effectiveness of vaccines will remain unchanged after four to five months.

Earlier, the effectiveness against the “Delta” is estimated for MRNA-vaccine – Pfizer and Moderna. Efficiency against infection has decreased for both vaccines, they found out American researchers.
