29-year-old mayor of the Afghan city of Maidan Shar Zarifa Ghafari fears that militants of the radical movement “Taliban” (banned in Russia) can kill her and harm the family. She stated this in an interview with the British portal iNews.
In spite of all threats to life by the Taliban, the young Afghan woman politician refused to leave the country after its seizure by terrorists.
“I sit and wait for them to come. There is no one to help me and my family. They will come for people like me, and kill you. I will not leave my family. And where do I go?” – Ghafari said
