According to the channel’s interlocutor, after the first flight, which took place in 2019 and was also accompanied by problems, IL-112B spent almost a year and a half on Earth. Then the aircraft began to actively exploit and quite quickly discovered the problems with the engine – this happened on the sixth flight. The nature of the troubleshooting source did not reveal.
It is known that during the first flight IL-112B, he refused the automation. As the chief designer “Il” Nikolai Talikov noted, then the right engine of the aircraft switched to the hydromechanic and worked “in a slightly smaller speed.” The specialist emphasized that the engine stops because of this did not happen.
IL-112B crashed during the training flight at the Kubinka airfield near Moscow. As the cause of the crash, the technical malfunction of the aircraft and the piloting error is currently being considered. It was reported that the right engine caught fire before falling the aircraft.
